Vivid

I could not decide which photo I wanted to post today - it's now 11pm and I have finally made my choice. The reason I chose this one was because except for slight cropping and resizing this is the original photo and I was chuffed that it turned out how I wanted. I haven't always had success at night with lighting and focus but I experimented with different settings and achieved some pleasing results. This is Vivid Sydney at Darling Harbour.

Good shot. Sometimes monopod held above the heads and a remote helps.

@cjainmd I will have to remember to take a monopod with me, I'm sure I have one somewhere lol. I like the heads though...I like silhouettes and shapes and people :)

I actually like the rows of the transfixed audience and the night lights are fine : though tri or mono pod would give you different vantage point : great image love it

@paul2782 Thanks Paul. I will dig out the monopod and start taking it with me. I took a few shots at that level because I do like that POV.

@paul2782 I am always glad to have your humble opinion Paul :) @paulaw thanks Paula - going to try and make time time to see the ones around Circular Quay too - last year they were amazing - and the Sydney Harbour Bridge is all lit up too - that will test my skills lol
