Spinning

This photo came about when I thought I would have a go at the mundane-coin challenge. I grabbed a coin, took it outside and proceeded to try and spin the coin on the glass table while at the same time trying to photograph it while it was spinning. I am no champion coin spinner so anyone watching would have laughed at my attempts to spin and photograph in one quick second.

That's really cool. What's the pattern underneath the glass?

@philr Thanks :) The glass on the table has a ripple effect in it and I think the reflections from the sunlight and the pavers underneath combined to create the effect. I enhanced the colour and contrast.

@twistergirl Thanks :) I looked at a few different surfaces and light sources. Inside wasn't working so I went outside and the sunlight in that area was great and the table looked like it would work. @cjainmd Thanks Chandru - it took quite a few shots to finally capture the motion but it was fun trying - I remember talking to the coin to will it to spin for longer..lol

Not an easy thing to capture, especially if you are spinning the coin yourself then picking up the camera moments later. Neat shot.

@sabresun thanks Matt - I had the coin in one hand and the camera in the other and was literally spinning and snapping almost at the same time - my spinning skills left a lot to be desired hahahaha
