I am a huge Horror fan - have been since I was around 10 or 11 years old. When I was in my early teens I remember watching Trilogy of Terror - 3 stories one of which was about a murderous tribal doll - I did not sit with my legs over the end of the lounge for a while after that. I think Chucky is a descendant hahahaha.
Only two Horror films have given me a nightmare - A movie called The Hearse which was showing at the drive ins with the Exorcist - to be honest I am not 100% sure which film gave me the nightmare but there was a creepy car. The second one is Clive Barkers Hellraiser.
I do jump and scream and go white knuckled in many a good horror film but in general I just love them and prefer to watch them in the dark by myself - I do watch a few with my youngest - nothing much scares her.
There is another film that altered my behaviour for a while but I will keep that quiet for now as I am hoping to create and image for that too.
I love Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers and the Creeper and I also love Alien and Predator.
My favourite part in a Horror film is the first 20 minutes of Scream
OMG, now I absolutely get you.........I am OBSESSED with horror movies. I once went and hired the 1st 8 Friday the 13th movies, THEN went that night to the movies to see the 9th one. I LOVE Jason! Give me Chucky, Freddy, Stephen King movies, and absolutely ADORE the Scream movies..........I'm with you on the 1st 20 mins...........BEST EVER!!!! Must give you 100 favs :)
@newbank@annied Cheese is slimy and stinky! I do like melted cheese toasties tho!!!! Eggplant is aubergine.......so like Ms Annie said, it's baba ganoush! DELICIOUS especially with extra garlic ;)
@gigiflower@newbank I don't know what cheese you have come across Miss Sam - the ones I enjoy most are neither slimy or stinky hahaha although I do also like some of the stinky cheeses
Not my genre but love this picture. I got scared by a movie with flesh eating ants (which are real by the way) when I was young and just stayed away. I find the real world scary enough.
@annied That brie is a bit slimy....and soft! And camembert too....! my husband loves cheese......I love dip! BTW, I had some steak last night and tonight I cooked fish!!! Whooo hooo, and I even liked the fish :)
@annied I don´t know if I could pull it of cos I don´t have a Chucky doll:( I´m thinking that this pic is so great cos it tells you are really in the photography, I mean just look at you, there you are terrorised by Chucky and yet you take a selfie for your project :D
Awesomely frightening! When my oldest boy was a small child, he had a My Buddy doll. Carried it with him everywhere, no separating those two. Then he sneaked and watched Chuckie from the hallway when he was supposed to be in bed. I don't think he watched long, but the following day, I found Buddy out in the backyard, with the dog, covered in dirt, never to see the warmth of the home or his arms, again.
Super creepy shot Annie. When I was young, my older cousin was baby sitting me, she watched a werewolf movie. It scared the hell out of me and I never really got into horror movies. I do like reading Stephen King books though. You can see my take on IT on the Mad Hatters today, and I posted one this morning on my 365+ album.
