Well today they landed but the wind blew

There is a big fat blue-banded bee that flits quickly in and out without ever settling on the flowers and a few smaller bees that may or may not be blue-banded. I am yet to confirm. Today the smaller bees - around 4-5mm - were settling on the tomato flowers - but of course it was windy, so every time I would get focused - whoosh!
Cool processing.

I'm fascinated by the black lace effect that you gave this! I'm also thinking how lovely it would be to have "blue-banded bees"! They sound lovely, so thanks for sharing this one with is!

Bees are so difficult to get aren't they but so rewarding when we get one in focus. I like your edit here!

Love the black pattern you created here. Bees are very difficult to capture.

I have never heard of this species. There is a big concern for the honeybee population in my part of the USA as honeybees are dying off from possible pesticide use and now I hear some kind of mold.

The wind is a tricky thing no matter what you're photographing. I think you've found a creative way around it. Good shot!
