I used to have a koala-teddy when I was little. It never left my side untill I lost it during a pitstop somewhere in Germany. I believe I was heartbroken. Then, when my uncle came over from Australia, where he still lives, he hired a car to visit frinds and family all over The Netherlands had a small koala hanging at his mirror in the car. He gave it to me and it still is my little (furless) friend after 40 years!

She's a she and was up in the up close and personal area - there were a few gals - a couple with active joeys - vying for the best leaves - hahaha - I actually think adult koalas usually look grumpy
