Had year 1 (6/7 yrs) for a little while today - we looked at the paintings of Picasso - I chose this painting ( not by Picasso but by John Nolan - part of his homage to the masters series ) to use as an example because it was a lot simpler than many of Picassos and easier for the children to copy. I guided them through the process.
