you lookin' at me

so - we acquired two new pythons today - quite a bit larger than the ones we have now - so four beautiful snakes - these two will be happy in an aviary outdoors ( supplied ) and they seem to have lovely temperaments although they are quick and very strong.
I must admit at first I was a little concerned this fellow was going to strike as he was hissing softly - but all was good - they are such cool creatures

How awesome - there's something intensely snuggly about python cuddles! Love this b&w treatment and the selective focus.

Yikes Annie!! It's a monster! Have you ever been bitten?
October 12th, 2014
Sorry Annie but I believe wild creatures like this belong in their natural habitat.

Unnerving image!

Agree with Richard - sorry!

@vignouse hey Richard - :) domestic dogs and cats are descendants of animals that were once wild until we bred them to suit our purposes - reptiles are the new age pets - they require less space and maintenance than mammals - these guys were bred in captivity and are happy to be handled

@bella_ss I have been struck at a couple of times by our smaller one - only just acquired this one :)
October 12th, 2014
@kittikat thanks Kitty - I find them fascinating
October 12th, 2014
@froggie0628 they have a Ball Python at the reptile park - most beautiful colours and markings - the keepers there say they have the most wonderful temperament and make great pets
October 12th, 2014
Lovely you can provide a home. Are they rescue pythons?
October 13th, 2014
哇....
October 13th, 2014
Okay, I get the breed in captivity so I will give you that. BUt I'll stay with cats. They poop in boxes and that's simple enough for me. Never overly fond of snakes. But to each his own. Just keep them happy that's all I ask. (oh yeah and away from me.)
October 13th, 2014
@joansmor it is too each there own - I am not overly partial to cats - only a couple of breeds I care for - lol - I do love dogs though :)

Interesting new pets. Hope they settle in quickly and don't get a bit stroppy.
