These are incredible shots. I don’t think we can buy Lorikeets in our pet stores. We have Parakeets, but they pale in comparison to these fabulous birds.

@annied yes they are Budgies. I don’t know why we call them Parakeets, ha. I had a lovely green one when I was young!

@louannwarren budgies are cleaner and quieter than lories...lories are full of character though....we have at least 3 in our garden everyday...when the bottlebrush and big gum are in flower we can have many more

I once had two of these as “pets” but the squirted poop and shrill screams were more than my husband could live with and they went to a zoo
