across the heated grassland.
I freeze--captured in
her bright golden gaze.
Savage and ferocious, yet
regal and majestic.
A goddess of the hunt,
the Artemis of Africa.
My eyes hold hers
for an eternity.
She rules her pride
with cool confidence.
