I would roller skate down this hill -------which seemed much steeper when I was a kid ------and all the way around 2-3 blocks back home ---------sometimes I would do the reverse circuit.
I came a crasher one time and almost lost my front teeth - had it not been for my braces I would have.
I love this photo -- the leading lines, shadows, the DoF and processing... And thanks for sharing the memories. Makes me feel like I'm flying down the hill with you.
I can identify with this shot wholeheartedly. I used to roller skate down a similar hill which was also much steeper when I was 9 years old than it was when I saw it again at 39, just before we left the UK.
Lovely shot. The things we did as kids. I've revisited some of the hills we used to slide down in winter, trees in the way, of course, and think what an idiot. Amazing we survived.
