'Light it up blue' is a global campaign that sees thousands of iconic landmarks, cities and towns around the world turn blue on April 2 to recognise World Autism Awareness Day. The campaign highlights the pressing need for greater public education and awareness of autism in our community. http://www.everydayhero.com.au/event/lightitupblue2014/
I didn't know about that Annie, thanks for highlighting it. There are many autistic children at my lovely nephew Jack's school and it's plain to see that greater awareness can only be a good thing.
What a great campaign as very few are aware of the huge spectrum of autism from the very able to the very disable , their needs and understanding of the world is so different to ours
@beryl yes - I have worked with a number of children with ASD over the years - all of them special and with varying degrees of autism and all with different needs
A great campaign. I have a grandson with high functioning Asperger's Syndrome and David too is borderline Asperger, so I know all about it.
What a great photo to bring awareness to the foreground.
