Carlton Gardens

~ one of the Moreton Bay fig trees in the heritage listed Carlton Gardens in Melbourne.

Designed for the Melbourne International Exhibition of 1880, the Royal Exhibition Building and surrounding Carlton Gardens are World Heritage listed.
The gardens take in the Royal Exhibition Building, the Melbourne Museum, the Carlton Gardens Tennis Courts, a children's playground and a collection of Moreton Bay fig trees where local aboriginals have traditionally met and socialised.

I'm not big on flowers, but I love trees, and Moreton Bay figs are really beautiful! Carlton Gardens is a beautiful place too...
