Haha, this is awesome. They did have some nice and shiny gear back then. Polishing the brass and keeping it looking good was very important. Although I am glad we don't have to use these, they are a lot heavier and not as efficient as the ones we have today. And for some useless trivia we call this a branch :) (And the fire truck is called an appliance).
