mowed the lawn tonight and noticed that the lilies I had put on the border looked rather holey - not difficult to see why. Anyway, I have abandoned interest in them now. Lugged the last (I hope!) remaining pot over to the lawn-edge and will tip it out tomorrow. There was a spare beetle on the slabs and I didn't even bother to kill it.
