@followthatdreamphotography - I simply document my life, one photo a day that summarises what occurred via locations, experiences or objects. I view my project as less focused on abstract photography, and more literal representation similar to a photography journal. I've been documenting my life this way now since July 24th 2010. It makes for nostalgic viewing being able to reflect back on any day in the past 8/9 years and recall what was important to me that day, or how I spent the day.
@followthatdreamphotography to elaborate on this photo/collage; for the first time this year we have experienced moderate snowfall. Temperatures have plummeted, and the low winter sunrise hazes through bare tree branches above ice coated footpaths. This cold wintry scene is both complimented and contrasted by a warm bottle of Courvoisier brandy which is a typical spirit renowned for it's warming sensation when consumed. The juxtaposition was the idea behind the image. The balance and opposition of cold weather and a warm drink.
