Cacti in mixed medium

I wanted to try a negative space effect in watercolour so I tried this link https://pin.it/3lSoVSQ
Not quite happy with it but it was a learning challenge, I used not the same colours but did do the technique, furthermore I used some coloured pencils and white acrylics for some details.

@jacqbb it's a very interesting subject to choose as a painting. Quite a lot of detail to capture. I think I would also have used pencils especially for the thorns and prickles

@jacqbb - you have to have an enormous amount of patience to have done this as the details are rather stunning and it has an overall 3D-ish effect. aces!
