I've got a couple of infrared remotes for my brand of camera, but neither of them work with my current model, and I've had a hard time finding exactly which one I should buy...
So I said "To hell with it" and I just made a wired foot pedal remote. I bought a cheap, general purpose foot pedal, a 2.5 mm phono plug, and hooked them together with a bit of speaker wire.
Aside from making sure you've got the right wires on one end going to the right contacts on the other, there's not much to it. Once it's hooked up, you stomp on the pedal, you take a picture.
I love that idea! I thought at first you were making a guitar pedal, but I see it is a similar principle but for photos. You have a fabulous creative brain, I love seeing your constructions.
