tonight is one of my favorite nights of the whole year--the CHA annual elementary easter program. the children sing several songs, but the primary content is simply scripture that they have memorized. each grade level recites several passages to cover the entire story of Christ's death and resurrection--over 160 verses in all. it is powerful and amazing, and blesses me so much!
*young one's verses this year are: john 12:27, luke 19:10, matthew 20:28, luke 22:3, matthew 26:14-16, luke 23:44 & 46, matthew 27:51, john 19:32-34, john 20:2-7, john 20:11-17 (that's 26 verses he's hidden in his heart for this year's program--by the time he finishes 6th grade he will have learned all 160!)
