dry drought conditions, 100+ temps, and high winds made for the perfect fire-storm today, and it was hitting a little close to home. while i raced to pack the car with our important papers and all our photos & memories, my sweet little firefighter took it upon himself to soak the roof. thankfully, we did not have to evacuate, but it made for a pretty stressful birthday for him! we are so grateful to all the actual firefighters who battled to get the fire under control and contained.
