Last weekend my father had to be moved to the skilled nursing section of the facility that he lives in. He is starting to require more care than what was provided in the section he used to live in. Since space is limited, I have boxes and boxes of his belongings that I have to go through. I found this little article about him making a hole-in-one on the golf course. Obviously from a much simpler time, when local newspapers reported on accomplishments like this. He was 38 at the time and I was barely one year old. I bet he was excited about this for a very long time.
Such a poignant photo that provokes happy memories. And on the other hand the sadness that such a person now requires more care. The cycle of life. Bittersweet. Take care.
