Trying out my new electric kettle. Boy is that thing fast! This will keep my tea drinkers happy. Never had one before, but I think it will really come in handy.
@narayani nope I always heated water in a kettle on top of the stove. This heats to different temperatures depending on what type of tea/coffee you’re drinking and has a Keep Warm mode.
When we visited my brother and sister in law in the USA they didn't have a kettle either. Couldn't believe it as every household in SA has always had an electric kettle, but I couldn't find one anywhere in their town to buy one for them as a gift at that time (Toledo, Ohio). But your new kettle sure sounds a lot more fancy than my kettle which simply boils the water
@seacreature My youngest son has one and he's the who introduced the whole idea to me.The one in the photo was a Christmas gift. He bought it off Amazon. But you're right, they're not very common here.
