My job today was to go through a box of old photo albums. Unfortunately I left the box in the basement and everything got quite moldy. Also a lot of the photos from the 1970s didn’t age well. They turned a weird orange color. Except for this Polaroid. Take a look at that fro! Yikes! As you can see, none of my siblings were quite as “lucky”.
You look beautiful. Lovely memories. I have also found a whole lot of photos that look orange now ... so it must be something to do with the inks that were in use for the mass produced printing back then
@seacreature yes I think you must be right about the processing. Such a shame! I could probably scan the photos that were really important and try to play around with them on Photoshop. But I don’t have that kind of time right now. For now I’ll just scan them and save them on my computer.
@beckyk365 What I usually do is photograph the photograph. I don't have a scanner that is adequate to the task of making decent copies so I feel that I get better results this way.
I think I had a jacket like that way back when. And my two brothers definitely had the mustaches. Beautiful photograph that has weathered well.
@beckyk365 I have a Polaroid of my brother and me when we were about 3 years and 5 years old. That's 65-ish years ago. It's gone sort of sepia but it's still in decent condition. Unlike me. :D
