Playing bocce ball with the family after our picnic. Taylor, who had never played before won. Our yard is full of bumps, dips, roots and ruts, so you never really know what direction your ball is going to go. Kinda added to the challenge.
What fun. I've never heard of bocce ball before, but it looks very similar to boulles, or petanque which is also played on sand or lawn like this. Was your picnic in your own yard?
Such a fun game! There is a group of Italians who play every morning in the park across from me. @seacreature with bocce, the balls are rolled, with pétanque, they are thrown. Both a lot of fun 😄
@seacreature@narayani Yes we were in our yard. And sometimes in our neighbors yard. We were mostly rolling but I’m pretty sure there was some throwing in there too. We’re pretty loose with the rules.
