Cuckoo!

We recently unearthed this family treasure. My parents purchased this in 1972 in Germany when we were visiting relatives. Since no one else wanted it when my dad downsized, I snatched it up. The sound of the cuckoo in the background may seem like an annoyance to some, but to me, it was a part of the soundtrack of my youth.

Awesome cuckoo clock! Makes me want to head back to Germany. We went to a clock shop there that was kind of insane with the cuckoos :)

Oh my goodness! We have one JUST like that. It was also from Germany but I believe my uncle brought it back when he was in the war. Ours is packed away right now......long story but some day I hope to put it back together and display it also as you have.

@mzzhope The one I am talking about your dad brought back from Germany and gave to my dad. They had it hanging in the Woodhaven house and the Florida house. We packed it up but hope to bring it back to NY soon.
