In the early goldmining days Charters Towers was known as "The World". It was thought that everything you needed was here, I guess it was for those that found gold. Our town has close to 10,000 residents now but back then the population was around 30,000 and boasted 50 pubs. Those miners were thirsty people!
This is probably my only entry for Jerry's sign challenge. I am babysitting this week so there won't be too much time for finding anymore signs.
