@rhoing Hi Thom! We didn't sit in the concert area where you could actually see it but we sat on the foreshore and enjoyed the fireworks and listened to the concert. Security was crazy and it was really hot. Boston for 4th July was quite special though.
@bella_ss Visited the UK when older daughter had a study abroad semester at Lancaster, but I'm a yankee born-and-raised. Funny story about her study abroad. She was a literature major of sorts (with an interest in editing), and she was excited to take a course on Shakespeare in England. First day of class … the professor was American!
@rhoing Haha, that figures... try to escape and that's what you get. Just curious about where you lived... I have a friend at Norfolk that we also visited while there and spent a few days with them near Harwich on Cape Cod. It's a beautiful area, so foreign to our countryside in North Queensland.
@bella_ss Oh, didn't mean to dodge the question. I live a little more than a quarter of the way from the east coast to the west coast:
715 miles (1,150 km) from Norfolk, Virginia and
1,810 miles (2,911 km) from San Francisco, California.
