The strength of these guys is just amazing to be able to launch themselves out of the water like this. The guide told us a story that happened the week before... they were feeding one crocodile as a Jabiru came flying past, another crocodile that they didn't realise was under the water jumped out and snatched the Jabiru from the air. Now that would have made an amazing shot!
I loved seeing the jumping crocs when I was up north - I ended up going out twice, could happily have done more trips, but always wondered at the wisdom of training the crocs to jump up near boats like that
@lbmcshutter I agree Megan, especially after the latest attack. To give them credit they really do stress how dangerous they are and to keep your hands inside the boat at all times. Even so, it was amazing to see.
Such a great shot! Wonderful detail on this bugger's underbelly but, more than that, where else it in world would you see such a thing? After seeing this pic, I can completely believe the story about grabbing the Jabiru. Well done, with thanks for the view from across the world. :)
