This is also in Hosier Lane but it's not graffiti, I think it's a beautiful piece of art. I like how it appears to be reflecting the buildings. I have seen a couple of 365ers post this same shot.
Our beautiful daughter has been gone for 16 years and would have turned 34 today. My sister and I gave birth just 40 minutes apart so my niece also turns 34 today, our girls had a special connection.
A big happy birthday to both of them. There is a 3 year gap between my son and daughter but they get on very well together. Beautiful capture of this piece of art. The reflections add some more flavour to the shot.
Wonderful capture Sheralee and i agree it is a great peice of art but it would depend on whether it was put there legally or not.Art or Graffiti according to wiki !!
Oh Sheralee, many years have passed by but I'm sure your heart misses her daily. How interesting that your sister and you give birth so close. A cyber hug to you.
Isn't it fantastic, got to be a fav. He is a very talented artist. don't know if you know his history. His name is Matt Last and he goes by the name Adnate. Kane @karlow75 has posted pics by Adnate and so have I http://365project.org/onewing/topics/2014-01-31 The one I took was part of the Hit the Bricks Festival in Newcastle in 2013 and the painting attached won first place at the festival. This is a fantastic photo of his work.
A beautiful photo on a sad day. I lost my daughter too almost 2 years ago. I am sure both our daughters would love this art. Zoe was a big fan of street art and often wandered around Hozier Lane checking it out.
beautiful words Sheralee - I am sure your daughter is watching over you - I have posted this piece as well - as @onewing Babs said he is a very talented artist @peterlgrave and it was placed there legally :)
@onewing Thanks Babs, I knew the artist was Adnate but that was all. I first saw this from Kane @karlow75 and wanted to find it when I was there. Someone else posted it too but I can't remember who.
Yes, my daughter Janis would have LOVED this, she was so artistic. She drew, took photos, made jewellery... thanks for your kind words.
@bella_ss They used a cherry picker in Newcastle for their artworks. I am amazed how the can do artworks like this so close up. It is marvellous to watch the paintings being created.
