Lipstick pink

I found this pretty flower while we were at Paluma on Mt Spec. I stood still for a few minutes and the mosquitoes nearly carried me away. It was beautiful up there but the mozzies were bad, thankfully the house we stayed in had flyscreens and the mozzies seemed to go to bed at night.

like your perspective on this shot. heard on our news last night the bugs are going to be very bad this year because of all the snow we had. gave them a good blanket - especially things like ticks and yes, mosquitoes. yuck.

@chimfa no, it's not a ginger Jane, although there are lots of gingers there. It's a medium size bush but I haven't seen it before so it must grow in cooler climates than mine.
