Black pebble beach by bella_ss

Black pebble beach

It was so cold and windy on this beach that I honestly feared being blown over. I have a picture of David walking totally bent over just fighting the wind. There was no need for colour here as there was very little. The beach is made from crushed basalt from the nearby Katla volcano. The rock formations and caves are quite fascinating.

By the way, the horizon is straight but because of the water's edge it looks really crooked.
Terrific image.

Fabulous rock formation and a brilliant shot. Very similar to the Giant's Causeway in Ireland. Probably the same kind of volcanic rocks.
