Stock Exchange Arcade

My favourite building in Charters Towers, I love the roof. This was once a working stock exchange back in the gold mining days. Built in 1888 and traded until 1916.

I have been in that arcade when my brother in law lived in Townsville. We went to Charters Towers for the day and I remember it was so hot.

What a fabulous building. We missed Charters Towers on our trip last year but I can't imagine such a splendid looking building in the outback!

that is a great arcade building and roof I agree. And, you really did capture it very well. It fills the frame and yet there is nothing missing. I bet that wasn't easy.
