flake bedecked
snow warrior,
the squirrel
stops
seems surprised,
even shocked
by the well swaddled
human
sharing snowy
weather woes,
offering food
in trade
for an image
of never ending
winter
The snow was swirling as I stood by the bird feeders , camera and self swaddled in winter garb. This squirrel is one I'm not familiar with. He has a semi healed scar on his lower back and such a shocked expression on his face when he saw me peering around the feeders. Jeff Bauman who lost both of his legs and saw Tsarnaev's brother put down the backpack loaded with the explosives has testified emotionally this morning. Fresh faced, 8 year old Martin Richard lost his life that day, his dad will testify as well, it's beyond sad, this whole thing.
For the Record,
This day came in with heavy wet snow, icy road conditions and delayed commuter rail trains. 2-4 inches expected this time, it never ends.
