Raspberry is the reigning Queen of Yawns. She's settled into a spot on a sheepskin throw in the warm sunshine. We'll see if she stays and can resist her Domestic Goddess duties, helping me put freshly washed sheets back on the guest bed. (Of course she helped.)
A giant ice dam with hanging icicles slid off the barn roof yesterday while I was at the train station picking up T. I know it must have happened then because it would have been a very loud crash. The heavy ice chunk smashed the plastic(an old cat litter pan) container we were using as a winter birdbath. It has a special heating coil to keep it from freezing. I'm not sure if that burned out as all the water drained out. I've set everything up again and we'll see tomorrow morning it the water is still in a liquid state after freezing night temperatures. These situations are causing extreme dangers all around, parked cars in the city, people walking on sidewalks, what a winter!!

This day came in with a glorious sunrise, warmer than we're used to temps and sunny skies becoming overcast as the day goes on.
