We must look to the light I suppose, but change is so hard for me. The loss of blip is the loss of my heart's day job. I would feel like I'm shooting alone without my community beside me, behind me. The move to the 365 project is a step in rebuilding, but blip my home on the internet.
I'm thankful for the warm welcome here and so may blip refugees pouring in, a community heartbroken, but regrouping.
I'm thinking of an old camp tongue twister...
whether the weather be fair
or whether the weather be not,
we'll weather the weather,
whether we like it or not!
For the Record,
This day came in with new glistening snow, melting fast we hope.
I retired from public school teaching after happily spending twenty eight years playing in Kindergarten. Now I fill my days watching cat antics, taking endless...
I know just how you feel, even though I got out before the sticky brown stuff hit the fan I am still a tad depressed by the whole thing, four and a bit years was a huge emotional and cognitive investment.
But I am glad I moved on, it negated the frustration and anger that was the dominant feature of the New Year. After a couple of months I have settled in, found that the natives are friendly, made many new acquaintances and am seeing many old friends pouring through the portal.
Welcome here, give it a little time and I am sure you will be well at home with your slippers on and a mug of hot chocolate in your hand.
@sgtpepper I can feel it happening, the slippers, as the grim reality sets in. 1779 entries in a row at blip, no gaps... hard to leave, but it was not the same since Polaroid. Not at all.
@berelaxed A huge feat, was not that far behind you. However, I don't think that any of it will lost as I believe the British Library is archiving the site, or I have heard rumours to that effect.
Love your pic, love cats although not got one now. Lets hope that Blipfoto isn't going under, but if not why do they not answer the question a lot of the members are asking. Anyhow, nice to be on here and know we are not alone.
Interesting to see how many blippers have turned up here, it's quite nice to meet old friends and getting new ones too. I like the expression on the cats face, brilliant
Hello old friend! Although I haven't blipped in a while, I am very saddened by the recent news. I thought I'd come over here and see what this is all about. I recognized Raspberry immediately!!
@jacksmom726 I was so thrilled to see you! Jack must be so big now!!! I have 1778 journal entries on blip, I'm heartbroken! Lots of us are here, Bethanne for one. xx
@swillinbillyflynn Thanks so much, I've learned a lot shooting 1779 days no gaps no back-blips. I love my cameras & lenses and need a community to share what they give me after I click.
Blip was very special to me, I'm hoping for a miracle, but seeing none, I shall be happy here among friends, old and new.
