Each year for Hanover Day, our community day of celebration, I organize a Fairy House building activity. It's one of our Hanover Garden Club yearly projects. Participating children select a little paper fairy, and then pick assorted sticks, bark, feathers and other offered natural materials to construct tiny houses on the lawn between our town library and the Stetson House Historical Museum. Unfortunately, it's pouring this morning and we were forced to cancel our annual activity. Hopefully, the weather will clear for some of the other afternoon activities and the big fireworks display tonight.
