This photograph isn't as sharp as the bird photographs I usually post. Nevertheless, the beautiful wings of one of our most common stateside birds gave this photograph a soft, lyrical quality, a certain mood that deserved posting.
Perhaps the forsythia branch 'V' symbolizes the sparrow's victory over the tough storms we have all recently endured. He's probably going to make it to the spring mating season with many broods to tend.
