We had a Garden Club board meeting today a member's home. It was a gorgeous morning and the perfect house for this month's meeting. We take turns holding these meetings and love when when S hosts us. She has a gorgeous house with the lovely North River in her backyard AND her refreshments are always divine. S is a wonderful addition to our club, very creative and a dedicated worker. She and her husband raise chickens as well and one accompanied us down the path to the boardwalk to their dock on the river. The lovely hen, who often spends time inside, loving to be stroked, had to be carried for her own safety. There's a resident eagle who uses the area for his dinner table, so she had to be kept safe. S is a spoon carver as well, you can see a basket of spoons she's working on.
