The temperature is not cold enough, but it looks and feels like snow as Mrs. Bluebird has a late afternoon drink at the heated birdbath. Our weather station shows snow in the forecast, so we'll see.
We live in a house built in 1893, as a summer house, with a very small cellar. The cellar includes dirt crawlspace portions under some of our rooms. We're having a company in next week to cover them properly and add dehumidifiers and insulation. We've had to do some relocating and covering of things in the cellar for most of the day. Some items have been brought upstairs as well. Merry dislikes anything new or out of place, but this is just the beginning of her angst. She will spend time in a bedroom next week and not allowed to help the workers. We also have old pine floorboards that are not flush in the two rooms directly over the the largest area to be covered. She's not going to like the stripes of painter's tape on the floors to keep the dust from coming up either. Ask me if I'm stressed?
For the Record,
This day came in cool and sunny with heavy afternoon clouds moving in.
I retired from public school teaching after happily spending twenty eight years playing in Kindergarten. Now I fill my days watching cat antics, taking endless...
What a beautiful little bird - well captured - I'll send out some good thoughts for Merry...cats are not lovers of change... or noise...I'll send those good thoughts for you too!
Well captured indeed.......good luck with all your alterations......my cat Alice (calico) is very much against any sort of change too......although Ruby (tortie) wants to help !
