This dapper guy is just getting his gorget feathers. Hopefully he will be back next summer with a full, flamingly feathered neck. I have only seen him today, but yesterday I saw a female that was perhaps stopping here on her way south. She seemed very unsure of the feeders. It's very windy today and we could have a storm on the way. I hope it's blowing them in the right direction. I'm surprised at how early it gets dark these days even if it still feels like August instead of the middle of September.
