How long do amaryllis live?
~About 25 years!
With proper care, an amaryllis bulb will grow, bloom, and rebloom for decades. The average lifespan of a bulb is about 25 years, though it's not unheard of for an heirloom amaryllis to be passed down through families for 50 years or more.
Well, I learned something today and I'm going too really follow the directions this year to possibly get these bulbs to re-bloom next year. They give us so much pleasure in the long gray months of a New England winter.
