Sunglasses needed for those dilated eyes!

What a day, Merry was so disgusted with her lack of breakfast. She tried every trick in the book and loved me so much, but still, no food until we got home.

The reports were better than we thought. The Ophthalmologist was a wonderful young woman who was so friendly and a very good explainer. Yes, she has cataracts in both eyes, covering 40-50 %, she can see, but it's very hazy, so hazy even she could not really see her retinas, but they seem normal. Apparently Abyssinians can have retina problems, but Merry doesn't. The cataracts are genetic. She explained to us that animal just begin depending more on their other senses and adjust, we'll see her again in 6 months.

The Ultrasound was done after, no sedation needed, she has her show cat behavior to thank for that. Minimal shaving on her tummy and Dr. Cornetta said that they saw nothing scary, she will call with more details when she gets the report. Grand total for both $979.

She had a big bowl of food and is resting by the fire. I'm a dishrag, but relieved. She is a little money pit.

For the zRecord,
This day came in sunny and warm

All hands relieved.
Poor baby glad results better than thought .
Yes they sure can cost an arm and leg but we couldn’t do without them a lovely colour she is too

It's good to hear that there's nothing really bad going on with Merry. Hopefully she's already received her missed breakfast!
