Love this- great composition and fantastic textures to the timber and trees. Is this in Shropshire Beryl?

This was a wood carving in the woods at Ellesmere they have a few of these different carvings dotted around the wooded walk alongside the Mere unfortunately there is no plaques of explanation. I suppose one has to make one's own story I have always think of as a sign of the peace & quiet on the walk !!
