@digitalrn@thresheg@steampowered@ivan Thank you all - this is my old plant & I have had it in the garden for 30 + yrs ! Its very much the colour of the ones which grow wild --but this one was purchased in a garden centre . !!
@hillymay@eileenw@purplehaze12 Thank you my other two are smaller --the shocking pink one was earlier & is still in bloom - My newest a small deep red is only just starting to open Hazel,' It's amazing how the soil acidity/lime content affect the different plants .
@eileenw Thanks Eileen , that's the best way to be --the plants decide on whether they like your soil/environment but sometimes like all of us they need a helping hand !!
Very lovely rhododendron!! I gave up on mine a couple of years ago.It was so straggly,think it must be our very heavy clay soil....not much good for growing anything!!
