Folks-apologies for absence !! The Shoulder replacement op. has been successfully done, and home again ! After the op demands a lot of patience, exercice and attention to do the recovery . Arm in sling for 4 to 6 weeks !! hence only one hand to use !!
Thanks again for the great support messages,I shall be viewing and hopefully posting --but apologies in advance for lack of comments until out of the sling !!
Beryl, how lovely to hear from you and so happy to hear all went well. I hope your recovery is speedy and that you will be back snapping away pain free very soon.
Oh brave lady having a record of all that pain...you look well packed up with padding but it must be very sore but onwards & upwards Beryl & do hope you feel more comfy soon. x
How great to hear from you so soon! I was thinking about you only this afternoon and thought it would be some time before I heard from you and yet here you are! Please get plenty of rest and do what they tell you! xxx
Welcome back Beryl, so glad the operation is over and your are on your way to recovery. An essential photo to have in your Project, just in case you forget what you were doing on this particular date!!!!!!!!!!
@paulaw Thank you Paula I am afraid this is the Ist of a few !! Now on waiting list for a knee replacement & then poss the other shoulder --I have ostioarthritis in all major joints !! and suffer with Polymyalgia rheumatica (pmr) I believe you are in a simular situation suffering with RA. So we can sympathize with one another re pain & disability !
Poor you that must be so painful. I really can't complain because 95% of the time the medication does the trick. Every now and again I get fed up with having to take it and all it entails, the blood tests, sickness, lack of alcohol!!!!! etc and then when it flares up I'm reminded that these things are infinitely better than the pain!!! I'm very lucky too that so far my liver is coping with the drugs as that isn't the case for everyone!. Just live in hope that one day it will go into remission like it did for my Mum - hopefully before it does too much more damage to my joints!!! Hang in there Beryl and you really will be a new woman after they've finished!!
