Christmas Cake by beryl

Christmas Cake

Before retiring from teaching ,the Autumn 1/2 term holiday was my Christmas Prep week -- Making my Christmas Cake , my pudding & mincemeat -- all from scratch !! So the tradition survives come 1/2 term I still make my cake , and a diabetic style mincemeat -- but I no longer make the pudding but buy a smaller shop bought one for the others !!
I can smell it from here. Wonderful collage. Really lovely tradition.

Well done Beryl. Graham usually makes ours - trouble is none of us really eat much fruit cake so half of it is usually still there at easter
