As it was a horrible and wet day -- I decided to have a play at different processing I usually keep things as natural as possible -- what do you think are the merits and downfall of these two in the collage !
I like them both Beryl, but the processing on the right seems to make the sky the dominant element of the scene. The tighter crop also makes the scene seem less expansive too, as the verticals of the trees appear more obvious. The vignette is pleasing as is the sepia toning. Good to play on these wet days and today is yet another one! x
@barneyone Thank you Rita for taking the time and effort to make positive criticism on both of the two I prefer the one on the left But I like best the original which I should have put that in as well - as we can not always improve on God-s own creation !
I think they both have some good qualities. The on eon the left is nice and rich with the darker qualities, but the one on the right has nice highlights with the vignette
The left one is my favourite a beautiful view the right is still lovely but looks more like a painting. I was doing the same yesterday as a wet day here too.
I like the one on the left too. Such a gorgeous place and shot!
Sometimes a lot of processing is needed to enhance a crappy picture, but not necessary in this case!
I think they both have their merits. The one on the left looks natural and has a certain charm of tranquillity and the one on the right looks artistic and quite dreamlike.
I agree with you all & like the one on the left better too. The lake looks smooth & wider & the sky doesn't dominate just the same. Both beautiful in their own way though & it's fun to do!
I like the one on the left best for its natural feel, the one on the right is cool too with its brighter day look. I think they are both great, just a matter of which look you want.
