Haygate field -- Harvesting the silage by beryl

Haygate field -- Harvesting the silage

Some of you will remember the dilemma over the purchase of the field for development ! Some months ago the field was earmarked and approves by the council to be used for a housing development . But in the last couple of months it came to our notice that the council had approved this site for housing when in fact they already had their quota of land available for development --- so !! the approval has been withdrawn and it will go through the whole business again. Again we have put in our objections to this development when in fact there are brown fields available to the council ! We are now waiting until July to hear the final verdict . Keeping our fingers crossed , but I just do not trust the council !!
Sam
Fingers crossed for you too!!!

Great country scenery . A beautiful captured. Same problems in our country. Cities grows and grows. And the/our council loves it for this reason : they get more taxes from houses than from farmland (I think)

Lovely rural scene, which is sadly disappearing all over the country, my home town is now a mass of new housing, but without the roads & infrastructure to match !!

Such a lovely rural scene, it would be shame to build on it. Hopefully the Council will look more closely at brown field sites. Super shot Beryl.

Well done to put off the development for a bit longer. The tractors/trucks almost look like toys.

Great shot...love the rural scene. Nicely captured.

Lovely seasonal shot Beryl. We have the similar problems with building on green land which is also part of the flood plane and that leads to disaster.

Lovely to be able to watch the farmers and seasons changing. Hope you are successful in your objections.

The news is good so far but I'll continue to keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.
This is a wonderfully old fashioned country scene. Well captured.
