The Saga continues ! Cooing from the roof top , then parents arrive on the lawn , fledgling appears from the shrubs and is fed on the lawn ! Parents leave and fledgling disappears into the shrubs !
The ritual only happened yesterday morning , but I did not see the departure !! As when I looked out again there was no sign of the fledgling or parents AND I was not aware of a repeat performance in the afternoon or evening . Today no fledgling and no pigeon cooing , hovering around and landing in the garden , and no sign of the fledging So I am relieved and very hopeful that its "All's well that ends well " !! at least Alfie was not aware of our visitors !!
N.B. Rather disappointed -- found that the baby is still with us but now about 5ft from the ground in the large rhododendron bush near the bird table ( left birdseed !! and water there for him and hope the parents will still come and visit !!!!
Oh dear isn't it a worry Beryl.......I do hope mum is sensible & sticks around! Perhaps they think he should be fending for himself .....if he can jump up perhaps he is almost ready to fly! I like your story telling collage!
