A filthy day outside - with plenty of rain and waters coming down from the Welsh hills , with the Severn bursting its banks and flooding the surrounding areas . The Flood barriers have gone up in both Shrewsbury and Ironbridge Shropshire , but fortunately Wellington is not on the banks of the river !
I have only been out today in between showers to replenish the bird feeders . Most of the time this afternoon I have sat in the warmth by the fire place with Alfie enjoying the comfort of lying on my lap !!
I have not been out to take a photo hence as I have enjoyed the glow of the fire I thought I would share !! I'll try to do better tomorrow !!!
I love seeing other friends houses, I can just imagine how cosy you are now Beryl. We can't always go out & photo meaningful things in the rain! I am going to Harrogate tomorrow to the Country Living Christmas Fair so really looking forward to that, I have never been before. Should be plenty of photo ops!
You look as if you are nice and cosy the best place to be if the weather is awful. We have had quite a mild pleasant day with a little bit of sunshine but neither me or hubby are feeling well and so we have had a day in.
What a wonderful homey place to enjoy the inside while the outside storms away. So inviting with that fire lit and ready for getting cozy! Nice that you are able to get some rest without feeling you need to be somewhere else!
