Dahlias

The dahlias are beautiful at the moment ,and I have not grown any for years - now I remember why !! - I always seem to get earwig bugs munching away at both leaves and petals and yet they do not bother with any other plants -- in fact I never see an earwig in the garden when I do not grow dahlias !! aghhh !!
